This digital curling iron heats up to 220 degrees Celsius (428 degrees Fahrenheit) and comes with a 1″ barrel, perfect for creating tight ringlets. The iron heats up very fast, with a digital readout counting up to the desired temperature. Here is a photo of my first test of the iron:

I curled my hair at 200 degrees Celsius – I could see the steam rising as I curled each strand! – and then pinned the back up to create a loose updo. US readers will want to note that the digital readout on this is in Celsius, so adjust accordingly! I had a lot of fun using the iron and will definitely use it again to create cute curled styles. It might be nice if more information was included with the iron, but then again, it is easy to operate so it didn’t affect my usage of it.

The key to this is making sure that the cubes are totally frozen before attempting to make a slushie – I had a hard time with it at first because the cubes weren’t cold enough. But once they’re frozen, it’s easy to make a slushie. Bear in mind, this makes a very small serving of slushie, so it’s the perfect serving size for children but might not be enough for an adult.

The Blizzie ice cubes are re-usable and can be used hundreds of times – just rinse off the cubes and pop them back into the freezer! It also comes with a combination straw/spoon that makes it easy to enjoy your frosty treat. I love how simple it is to make a frozen drink, and the fact that it requires no special syrups or complicated preparation. I can’t wait to use this during the summer months!

As a CSN Preferred Blogger, I often collaborate with CSNStores.com on review and giveaway features. I was recently sent a $75 gift certificate to pick out a few items for review, and since I’ve found that I can really stretch my dollars at CSN, I ended up buying shoes for our engagement photos (more on that later!) and still had some cash left over. These rechargeable batteries were a “Stocking stuffer” for me! I seem to use AAA batteries in everything, so I’ve been needing to pick up another package of them. There’s been times in the past when I had to raid the AAA batteries from my cordless phone to stick in my wireless keyboard – now that I have lots of spare AAA batteries, I won’t have to choose between answering the phone and answering my email when the batteries run low.
