Top Ten With Cassandra Michaels
I’m inspired by: God, family, friends, music, books, movies, really just life in general. I tend to write about things I have experienced, lived, and dream of.
I realized I wanted to play music when: I really don’t think there was ever a time when I didn’t want to play music. I just always knew this is what I would do one day. In kindergarten for career day we were all supposed to dress up as what we wanted to be when we grew up. I came as a musician and I’ve wanted to be one ever since.

One word I would use to describe myself: Passionate.
The best part of being a musician is: Creating new music. Having a vision or a message for a new song and taking it through all the stages. From the studio sessions to filming the music video to live performances, it’s fun to see how it all turns out. Also, the fans are AMAZING! They inspire me to work harder and become the best I can be.
Right now, I’m most excited about: The world seeing ‘Fighting For Our Love!’ It’s a near and dear song to me and when something’s personal like that it makes it extra special to see fans responding to it.
Something most people don’t know about me is: I really hate pancakes. Waffles are my favorite though! People try and tell me they’re the same thing but trust me, there is a BIG difference.
One of my happiest moments was: The first time I was in the recording studio was amazing! Any time I’m doing music I’m happy! I truly love every step of the process and being able to wake up and do this every day has been surreal.
My music is: My EVERYTHING! My heart and soul go into this. It’s one of the only ways I can truly express myself.
In ten years, I see myself: I hope to be making music, touring, creating and doing what I love!! Most importantly I hope to inspire and help others through my music. If my music can do that I will very happy.
