Yesterday afternoon, Jai and I sampled a “Cookie Pie” for the first time. What exactly is a cookie pie, you ask? Well, this unique creation is handcrafted by the company Barbara’s Cookie Pies to essentially be an oversized cookie with the appearance of a decadent pie. Since we had family in town, it was the perfect opportunity to share, so we took the cookie pie over to Grandma’s for an afternoon treat with coffee.

There were 6 of us all together, and there was plenty of cookie pie for everyone to sample. There are a selection of flavors available, from Oreo to peanut butter; we had received the Apple Caramel variety to sample, and the overall consensus was that it was quite tasty. The cookie consistency makes it easy and fun to serve, and everyone was excited to taste it, so I can vouch for the fact that it makes a fun gift to take along. Some found it a little heavy on the apple and sugar, but it was still enjoyed and everyone had fun sampling it. The family agreed that they would eat another one, and that it would be especially good if there was a pecan variety. Grandma even joked that she wouldn’t need to eat dinner now, just the cookie pie!
