Frownies Vintage Pink Bag Review

Vintage Pink Bag

You may recall that last year I received Frownies’ Beautiful Eyes Bag to review, and was quite taken with the products. I still regularly use the products I received, so when I had a chance to try out another set of products from their Vintage Pink line, I was glad to take them up on the offer! The Vintage Pink line boasts classic Frownies products with special packaging aimed to help breast cancer research – according to the press release I received, all pink packages and sets that include pink packages give back 20% to breast cancer education. (I wish they’d mentioned this somewhere on their website, because I think these products would be even more popular if people were aware of the cause!) I received a complimentary Vintage Pink Bag Skin Care System to review, which contains some of their most popular items, including a few I had never tried before. Here’s what’s included:

pH Balancing Complexion Wash: I’d never tried Frownies’ face wash before, and I quite like it. It’s gentle on my skin and has a pleasant scent.

Gel Eye Sample Patches: As I mentioned in my last review, I love how soothing these feel on tired eyes! This is a great, refreshing eye treatment to use on exhausted skin.

Rose Water Hydrator: I received my first bottle of this in the Beautiful Eyes Bag, and it has multiple uses. This spray is used to preserve the gel eye patches, as well as apply the Frownies facial patches; and it works well on its own as a skin hydrator. In my last review, I speculated that this would be great to use on flights, and I put that to the test during my recent trip to England. The bottle weighs 2 oz, making it 3-1-1 compliant for carryon baggage; I tucked the bottle in my ziploc bag along with my other beauty essentials, and took it onboard with me during all my recent flights. Before my flight arrives at its destination, I have a routine where I wash and moisturize my face before re-applying my makeup. After cleansing, I would spray the Rose Water Hydrator on my face to refresh my jetlagged skin. I love how it feels!

Facial patches: This bag comes with a box of both Forehead and Between Eyes Facial Patches and Corner of Eyes and Mouth Patches. I tried the Forehead Patches during my last review, and I found them to be intriguing – I’ve really been wanting to try out another box of these, because I felt like I might get better results with more consistent use. Well, I now have 288 patches between the two boxes, so I have no excuse not to try again! 😉 I tried using the patches again as soon as they arrived, but the skin on my forehead ended up breaking out badly after using them, so I’m giving my skin a bit of a break before starting again. I will update you again after 30 days to let you know my results (Or if I continue to have trouble with breakouts and have to stop).

Immune Shield Sample (2 Included): These are little sample packets of Frownies’ Immune Shield, an anti-wrinkle serum. I still have a big bottle of this left from my last review – a little of this stuff goes a long way. In fact, it’s better to use a very tiny amount of this – since it’s oil-based, it can be a bit too heavy as an overall moisturizer for my dry skin, so I apply it sparingly around my eyes and neck. It seems to have a tendency to get in my eyes after I apply it, so I think I’m still using too much of it! I took my bottle with me when I went to England, so like the Rose Water Hydrator, this Frownies product has traveled a lot with me! 😀

Biologically Active Immune Perféct Sample (2 Included): This is a moisturizing wrinkle cream that I hadn’t yet tried. I really like this moisturizer a lot and have been using it as my face cream before bed. It has a creamy consistency which I like a lot, and doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin.
