Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Tropical Traditions Spa Day Package – Review & Giveaway

One of my favorite gifts to give my female friends & relatives is bath and beauty products. I love to assemble little gift baskets with a variety of lotions and potions – not only is it pampering and fun, but they’re also useful items, so it makes for a universally appreciated gift. And Tropical Traditions would like to give one lucky Contest Corner reader a Spa Day Gift Package that contains a jar of their skin exfoliator, a bottle of massage oil, and a jar of moisturizing cream, so read on!

My Take:

I’ve previously reviewed both the moisturizing cream (Click here to read the review) and the massage oil (Click here to read that review) that are included in this prize package. So today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the skin exfoliator. I’ve mentioned before that I am the “Exfoliant Queen”, and have somewhat of an obsession with finding new and better exfoliants. I have to say, sugar scrubs like this are becoming a must-have for me. If you haven’t tried a sugar scrub before, it’s a whole other experience from exfoliating body washes. The unscented Tropical Traditions skin exfoliator that I tried contains sea salt, organic virgin coconut oil, organic jojoba, and organic virgin palm oil. Simple ingredients, great results! The scrub did an awesome job of smoothing my dry skin, and the moisturizing oils were a good counterpart to the intense scrubbing action. I got such good results with this that I have actually used up the whole jar already! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a really good exfoliant. Just be sure to read the directions – stir it up before using, and rub it into your skin for one minute, as it works much better that way. It’s not meant for use on the face because it’s too rough, but it worked fine for my sensitive skin as a body scrub; of course, each skin type is different, but my experience was good.

Disclaimer: Tropical Traditions provided me with a free sample of this product to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review or sponsor a product giveaway in return for the free product.
