Johnson & Johnson have given me the opportunity to have a great night with friends while helping others, thanks to their “Cause Party” program. On August 22nd, I will be hosting a huge party at my house to benefit my favorite charity – and Johnson & Johnson are providing me with party supplies, goodie bags full of lotions and body washes for my guests, $200 for food and drinks and a $100 donation to the charity of my choice. Isn’t that fabulous? I will be documenting the whole event right here on Contest Corner, so you can expect lots of party photos and updates!

The cause I have chosen to support is LifeStraw. These are amazing personal water filtration devices can be used to make filthy water drinkable – check out this video demonstration:

The cost to deliver one LifeStraw into the hands of an African child is $6.50. That’s a one-year supply of drinking water! I wrote an article last year about the water crisis, and the facts are harrowing – a child dies every 15 seconds from a water-related disease. So when I heard about LifeStraw, I knew this was the cause I wanted to support!

Each guest who attends my party will be bringing a donation of $6.50 to go towards a LifeStraw for a child.
