Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal Serum & Cream Giveaway – Ends 09/15 – US/CAN

Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal

Mario Badescu provided me with product samples to test for this feature. This article is not intended to treat or prevent any skin condition.

If you’re looking for a nice new skin care set to try, check this out: One lucky reader will win a set of Peptide Renewal Serum and Cream from Mario Badescu, so read on!

I will turn 30 on the 25th of this month. Boy, does time fly! I’ve always been very conscious about taking good care of my skin, and even more concerned now that I am – gulp – getting older. So when I got an email about Mario Badescu’s new Peptide Renewal products, I thought I’d give them a try. I really like Mario Badescu, and even though these products are aimed at “Mature” skin, I figured I’d give them a try – if they didn’t work for me, at least I’d know my skin wasn’t yet “Mature”. 😉

This product duo consists of a Peptide Renewal Serum that you dab on to the face using the dropper top; you then follow this with the Peptide Renewal Cream. I was a little concerned that the Hyaluronic Acid might be too much for my sensitive skin, but it was fine; I guess I do have mature skin after all, since these products seemed to go well on my skin! I liked that these are specifically formulated with dry skin in mind. I’ve actually slathered the Peptide Renewal Cream on my hands a few times when they were feeling particularly dry, since it’s a thick, moisturizing cream and seemed to help them a little bit.

Peptides are a popular agent touted in skin care for anti-aging, as Mario Badescu talks about on their website. You all know how skeptical I am of anti-aging products, so I have a pretty high bar they have to meet. I don’t look any younger after my short time using these, but I do like them just as a moisturizer. Doing some independent research, I did find this study that was conducted by the Vincience Research Center that claims positive anti-aging results from use of collagen-like peptide gels – this is a more general study, not related to Mario Badescu – but I don’t know the background of the study, who funded it, or if other studies have been conducted verifying this; it’s definitely something I’d like to research further when I have the time to dig deeper into it.

Mario Badescu’s Peptide Renewal Serum retails for $45, while their Peptide Renewal Cream retails for $35; you can buy these and other items online at MarioBadescu.com.
