Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy ($120 Value) 2 Winners – Ends 05/26
While pregnancy is the leading cause of stretch marks, it’s not the only one. Weight gain and other factors can affect anyone, mom or not. As I wrote about in “The Road To Getting In Shape”, I am currently working with a personal trainer and making a lot of major lifestyle changes. Last year was extremely hectic, and I got out of shape because I didn’t make time to work out or take care of myself. One place I gained weight was my chest -which would be OK, except that the rapid change caused some small stretch marks to appear. I actually saw an ad for Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy on TV a while ago and scribbled down the name, because I had intended to purchase some to see if it would work. So when Mederma offered me a chance to try the product free of charge, that was even better!
Despite the fact that one commercial made me want to try this, I was quite skeptical as to whether this would work or not. But Mederma says that their product works best on newly formed stretch marks, so I figured I was a perfect candidate to try it! Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to the product within a few days of using it. I’ve mentioned before how sensitive my skin is, and I have to be careful which products I use because it is not unusual for me to develop a rash if the chemicals don’t agree with me. Sadly, this was the case with the Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy, and red bumps appeared all over the skin I applied it to. I took a break from using the product to let the skin heal, but I do want to try it again and see if my skin can get used to it – just because I really would love for it to work for me. But we’ll have to see how it goes!
