I have several site updates and some news to share with you!
- Giveaway Submission Form: Minor Technical Issues
It’s come to our attention that the giveaway submission form is experiencing some technical glitches. It is currently not displaying a confirmation message when giveaways are submitted, or notifying the user if any information (IE captcha) was entered incorrectly. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve these issues – unfortunately, the form plugin which we use, TDO Mini Forms, is not being currently updated so it looks like we’ll need to move to another platform for submitting giveaways. What makes TDO Mini Forms unique is that it takes the data submitted and automatically formats it into a blog post which is then held in moderation for my approval. I have yet to find another form which offers this functionality – so if you know of one, by all means, leave a comment and let me know!
- My “New” Assistant!
Exciting things are in store for Contest Corner in 2012, the first of which being that I am getting an assistant! Of course, you already know Jai, my fiancé, Contest Corner tech admin and sometime writer. Jai is going to be taking on a larger role at Contest Corner over the coming weeks with the day-to-day administration of the site so that I have more time to do what I do best: Host awesome giveaways for you guys! I spend so much time doing behind-the-scenes work on Contest Corner that I end up having relatively little time to devote to actually creating the content. Jai will be taking on some of this for me to free up my time for writing more articles. Which leads us to:
- Selecting Giveaway Winners
One of the tasks Jai will be assisting me with is selecting giveaway winners. The process will remain exactly the same – winners will be drawn via Random.org with entries verified according to each individual giveaway’s rules. The only difference going forward is that Jai will sometimes be the one drawing giveaway winners. I will still be in charge of contacting all winners, so prize notifications will still come from me via my supercoupongirl@gmail.com email address regardless of whether Jai or myself drew the giveaway winner.

I agree with Katie. If my hubby had to do anything with my blog he would run screaming form the room. As a matter of fact, I can’t get anyone in my family to help with my blog. Good for you!
