Are you lucky enough to live near a Friendly’s diner? Then you’ll want to head over there this weekend, because they have a fun three-day celebration planned in honor of their 90th birthday and National Ice Cream Day – here’s the schedule:
- July 18th: Free Sunglasses For The First 90 People! The first 90 patrons at every Friendly’s location will receive a pair of Friendly’s 90th anniversary sunglasses to commemorate Friendly’s Founders Day.
- July 18th-20th: 90 Cent Cones or Dishes! This weekend, you can snag a 90-cent single scoop ice cream, available in-store or to-go.
- July 18th-20th: Free Samples of New Mini Scoop Collection! Sample 3 flavors in mini sugar cones.
- July 18th-20th: Free Birthday Bag With Purchase! If you purchase a 100-oz. Friendly’s sheet cake this weekend, you will receive a free Birthday in a Bag kit containing Conehead sundae hats, decorations and ice cream-themed games, while supplies last.
- July 20th: FREE Ice Cream! If you sign up for the Friendly’s Fan Club Rewards program, you will receive a free cone or dish of Friendly’s signature ice cream in honor of National Ice Cream Day.
We sadly don’t have a Friendly’s in Oregon, but I still got to join in the fun with a Friendly’s 90th Birthday Swag Box that was mailed to me! This box is packed full of super cute ice-cream-themed goodies. I got to check out the Birthday in a Bag kit, and it’s just adorable!! I will absolutely use it for a future party – in fact, the box that the swag was mailed in says “Celebrating 90 Years, Established 1935”, and I just so happen to have a friend who is turning 90 this year, so I will 100% be saving this and reusing it for her birthday – so shhh! 😉
