Sneak Peek: CSN Network

Sneak Peek: CSN Network

CSN Stores

Yesterday, I reviewed two items from Cookware.com, which is a part of the CSN Network. I am going to be teaming up with CSN once again, as they are sending me a complimentary gift certificate to review another item from one of their 200+ stores. With so many different outlets to choose from, I have yet to decide what I will select for review: CSN offers everything from bathroom vanities to welders to premium handbags! Expect a thorough review as soon as I make up my mind – in the meantime, check out my past CSN reviews:

Hamilton Beach Chef Prep 10 Cup Food Processor & Paderno World Cuisine Composite Tongs from Cookware.com

Reed & Barton Cutlery from DiningRoomsDirect.com

Alpine Bird Bath from TeakWickerandMore.com

The CSN Network is providing me with a complimentary gift certificate in exchange for this coverage on my site.

  1. Hi, Beeb,

    Saw your comment on Growmap.

It actually doesn’t matter whether you save my comments or not (If I put the url I prefer in the website box above, this comment would be trashed by Akismet.

By the time you rescue the comment, I’m not coming back.

Allowing Akismet to trash folks arbitrarily is like your owning a shop, having one fellow throw customers bodily out on to the sidewalk, and then hiring someone else to go out there and dust them off.

Would you return to an establishment like that?

Well, that’s exactly what Akismet would do to me in your name if I put our url here.

Akismet ignores the very first rule of business. Treat every new contact like gold.

  2. Hi Leone,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment! I absolutely understand what you’re saying. How do you handle spam on your blog? Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any spam plug-ins that don’t mistakenly filter real comments from time to time. (Same thing with my email – I always check my spam folder and inevitably find a few legitimate emails in there) The solution I came up with was to put the notice above the comment box here that lets visitors know that comments occasionally go into moderation but will be approved as soon as I see them. (I check my spam comment filter daily)

I’m definitely open to any suggestions as to how to improve my spam filtering. I didn’t have any spam plug-ins for a while, but the spam is just out of control; I don’t want my readers to have to scroll past inappropriate content every time they leave a comment – profane spam comments are offensive to the reader and would drag down the quality of my site.

  3. Hello there. I found your blog by the use of Google even as searching for a similar topic, your web site came up. It seems good. I’ve bookmarked it in my google bookmarks to visit later.
