A Christmas Story has joined the rosters of classic Christmas movies. Although I think the TV networks could lay off playing it 24 hours in a row ;), I do love the film and the warm nostalgia it brings back to me as a child of the ’80s. The movie is the same age I am!
Since the film has become so iconic, it recently got the Broadway treatment with A Christmas Story – The Musical, which recently came out with its soundtrack CD. I’m not always big on modern musicals, but this is so well-done and charming that I can’t help but love it! The musical has done a good job of telling the story of this beloved movie in a fun song-and-dance way. Not only is the album a fun, retro musical romp, but it also includes dialog from the play in a way that allows the listener to follow along with the story without it being intrusive or taking away from the music. If you can’t see the show in person, this disc does a great job of recreating the experience in the comfort of your own home! This is a great gift for lovers of fun Christmas music and fans of the movie!

I love Christmas music and baking and we love doing different volunteer activities.
