derma e® is a skin care line that offers a range of products made with natural ingredients. They sent me some complimentary products to review – a sampler pack and a bottle of Evenly Radiant® Serum. The sampler pack is one which they offer on their website to consumers for $4.95 shipping & handling; samples vary, but the sampler I received included: Tropical Solutions Facial Cleansing Gel, which has a fresh pineapple scent; Tea Tree and E Face and Body Wash, a refreshing cleanser for problem skin; Vitamin A Glycolic Cleanser, another nice face wash; Microdermabrasion Gel, an awesome exfoliant that is very effective – they recommend rubbing into the face for around 3 minutes, but it’s such a thorough exfoliant that I think that’s too much for my dry skin – it works great for me just rubbing in quickly and rinsing off; Anti-Aging Pycnogenol Moisturizing Creme, a nice daytime moisturizer; Hyaluronic Acid Day Creme, which smells great; and Age-Defying Night Creme, a thick orange creme that is very moisturizing for nighttime use. I also received samples of Tea Tree & E Antiseptic Creme, Scar Gel, and Psorzema Creme, which I have not used but added to my medicine cabinet as I’m sure they will come in handy at some point in the future.

I also received a bottle of Evenly Radiant® Serum, a product that can be used day or night, alone or under a layer of moisturizer. This is intended for normal to oily or blemish-prone skin – my skin is more on the dry side, but I thought I’d give it a try since I do worry about using a moisturizer all over my face in case it clogs my pores, as I’ve been having more blemishes in recent years than I used to, I think due to my overall health. This serum smoothed on nicely – although it can be used as a light moisturizer on its own, someone with my skin type would definitely need to use another moisturizer over the top as it makes my skin feel a bit dry/tight, a little like the feeling of a toner. I’ve only gotten a chance to use it twice so far, but I’m intrigued by it and I think I’ll use it more over the winter months when I can use an extra moisturizing boost – between the heat and all the sunscreen that I have to wear this time of year, my skin gets unhappy if I put a lot of product all over my face, so I usually have to stick with just moisturizing always-dry areas like under the eyes and neck.

I’ve really enjoyed sampling these different products – you know I love beauty stuff, and there was a fun selection of different, nicely-scented moisturizers and cleansers to try out!
