I have a rule of thumb with press releases that land in my inbox: If you can make me laugh out loud when I read your email, I’ll probably bite. A couple of weeks ago, Woot.com reached out to offer me one of their signature BOCs – “Bags of Crap” – to review and give away to one lucky (?) winner. Woot.com, if you are unfamiliar, are a deal site that have been around since 2004. Each day, they offer new, limited-time deals on a specific products. Back in the early days of coupon blogging, I remember sitting on their site watching the flashing lights during a Black Friday promotion, refreshing the page every hour to see new deals. In addition to the genuinely good deals, Woot.com will also occasionally offer “BOCs” for sale, which are a random assortment of whatever products they have lying around. I’ve always enjoyed the mystery of a grab bag, so I thought I’d play along and gave them my address to receive my very own Bag of Crap! (Because what could be better while I’m in the middle of Spring Cleaning?!)

I have to say, I think this Star Wars glass alone was worth the Bag of Crap. It made me laugh out loud, just like the email did!
