FRAAS Infinity Scarf

This week has heralded in the first real chilly snap in Seaside since summer began. It’s that awkward in-between phase with the seasons where the days are half warm, half cold. There is the slightest hint of frost on the windows when I get up, but the chill soon turns into a warmer day. This makes it a little hard to know what to wear, since I alternate between too cold and too hot all day!

Luckily, our friends at FRAAS have the perfect scarf to wear during that awkward transition in the seasons. Their newest piece for Fall 2012, the Infinity scarf, is a clever and convertible fashion accessory that you can adjust through the day. The reason it’s called “Infinity” is because this scarf is one continuous loop – when you unfold it, you may mistake it for a small poncho at first. The design allows you to adjust how you wear it as the mood strikes – it can easily transition from looking like a traditional folded scarf around the neck to being draped over the shoulders like a semi-shawl. Having it looped around your neck in one unbroken circle should also make it stay in place more easily – I can’t be the only one who has had a scarf untie and slip off my neck like a spaghetti noodle!

The scarf I received was in the shade “Rose Petal”, a gorgeous combination of pink and white. The yarn, made of wool, nylon, and acrylic, is incredibly soft and luxurious, but light enough of a knit that it won’t overpower you during warmer fall days. I really think this piece is gorgeous – my plan is to give this as a gift because I have the perfect person in mind, although I’m tempted to add it to my own collection! 😉

The FRAAS Infinity Scarf can be ordered by calling 212-575-0191. You can also find more from the company by visiting FRAAS.com, a German-language website.
