Food and drinks are one of my favorite gifts to give, because it’s thoughtful, fun and useful all at the same time. If your dad likes to start his day with a mug of tea, then why not surprise him on Father’s Day with a little gift basket of his favorite teas and maybe a new mug? If you need ideas for your tea assortment, then look no further than our friends at Good Earth Tea for some inspiration. They have a variety of new black tea blends that are very unique and would make a fun gift for the adventurous tea lover on your list.

For example, Cocoa Tango has one of the most unexpected flavor combinations you’ll find in a teabag: Chocolate – and chili peppers. Yes, you read that right! If your dad loves anything spicy, then he should get a kick out of this. The teabag smells like chocolate – it even makes the room smell a bit like chocolate when it’s brewing – and you can see the chili peppers right there in the teabag. It’s heavier on the chocolate taste than the pepper, but there’s a kick to the aftertaste. It’s not necessarily my cup of tea (See what I did there?) but it’s not bad and will be a fun thing to have in the cupboard, since guests known me for having a wide selection of tea flavors!

Or, if your dad isn’t so big on peppers, then maybe Sweetly Twisted would be more his style. This is a sweet, bright tea with hibiscus, sweet blackberry leaves, licorice root, and a medley of other fresh flavors – it reminds me of calming tea I used to buy a few years ago to soothe my stomach when I was sick.

Does your dad drink tea?

  1. My dad hasn’t had tea in his life. My father in law drinks 3-4 cups per day. Maybe we should get him some for Father’s Day!!

  2. Okay, wow! Now those are some awesome sounding tea flavors! I totally want to try the Chocolate Tango, like now! Can’t imagine what tea with a kick tastes like, but I want to find out! My dad is quite the jokester.. I could see myself serving him that tea without mentioning the flavor beforehand, lol.

  3. I think giving tea and coffee are both good gifts to those that drink it. I like giving a cute mug or something too.
