Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Skin Free Daytime Light Moisture Review

Skin Free Skincare

I’ve mentioned previously in this gift guide that stockings were always a big part of Christmas when I was growing up. Everyone in the family got a stocking, including the adults. I know many other families do the same, so I’ve featured several items in the guide that would be perfect for Mom’s stocking this year. Today, I’m going to share another great beauty stocking stuffer from Skin Free Skincare!

Skin Free’s Daytime Light Moisture oil
comes in a 1 oz bottle, and is meant to refresh your face in the morning – perfect timing to use after you finish opening those stockings first thing on Christmas day! This moisturizing oil contains Squalane (olive derived), Prunes Amgdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose Oil), and Tocopherol (Vitamin E). Skin Free sent me a bottle of the Daytime Light Moisture to try out, and as beauty product junkie, I knew I would have fun seeing how this compared to my current skin care routine.

I’ve been applying the Daytime Light Moisture after washing my face in the morning, and the hardest thing to get used to was the eyedropper applicator. I found it difficult to use at first, but I’ve gotten used to it now. I usually put a drop on my forehead, two under my eyes, and maybe one or two on my cheeks. I was a little concerned that the oil might clog my pores, so I just applied it to dry areas and avoided parts of the face that are prone to blemishes. What really surprised me was how well this absorbs – I thought it would leave my skin looking shiny, but it soaked in really well. I really like the moisturizing properties of this oil, and I often use it when I’m very tired and have bags under my eyes. Although it’s sold as a facial product, I’ve also been putting a few drops on my chapped hands as an extra moisturizing treatment. And what better than a stocking stuffer that you can use on dry winter skin?

Daytime Light Moisture is available on Skin Free’s website for $22.99.
