A few months ago, I attended a virtual event with Sunlighten to learn more about their products. What really caught my eye was the lumiNIR 4-n-1, their Portable Light Therapy Skin Renewal Wand. I’ve been doing a lot of research on skin care over the last few years, and one item I’ve been wanting to invest in is a red light device for anti-aging. That’s why I knew the lumiNIR 4-n-1 would be an amazing gift to feature in our 2023 Holiday Gift Guide – because I’ve been wanting to receive this myself!
What makes this device stand out from your usual red light therapy mask/device is that is has four different LED wand attachments, each with different kinds of light: Near infrared, red light, near infrared/red light combo and blue light. It starts with the base lumiNIR wand with a near infared (NIR) light LED attachment, which lays the foundation of your skin’s light therapy routine. From there, you have the lumiGLOW, a red light attachment for anti-aging. The kit also includes the lumiCLEAR, a blue light LED attachment aimed at promoting clear skin and reducing the appearance of acne scars. Finally, you have the lumiSPORT, your combination of NIR and red light LED that is designed to help relieve muscle pain and inflammation.
I love that the lumiNIR offers more than one kind of light therapy; the lumiSPORT is a huge bonus, because I’ve never seen a skin care device that could do double duty as a pain reliever! I live with daily chronic pain, chronic illness, and knee issues that I’ve been writing about for a decade at this point. So I’m excited that I’ll be able to work this into my self-care routine alongside my skin care!
It takes time to see results from light therapy, so this is going to be an ongoing series.
