Win a 17” LG gram Laptop by Sharing Your Best Trick Photo on Instagram – Open Worldwide #ScaleUpIdea

Thank you to LG Electronics, Inc. for sponsoring this post!

Do you love taking creative photos for Instagram? Then you won’t want to miss the amazing #ScaleUpIdea Trick Photo Contest, where three clever photographers with the best forced perspective photo will win a 17” LG gram laptop!

Trick Photography 101

If you’re not familiar with forced perspective, the term refers to a trick photography technique where perspective is used to create an optical illusion. For example, every time a tourist takes a photo in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa where they hold up their hands to make it look like they’re pushing the tower, they are using the forced perspective technique. This trick of the eye is a lot of fun, and can be easily utilized by amateur and professional photographers alike. So it’s time to get your thinking caps on so you can capture the perfect Instagram snapshot for your chance to win one of three LG gram laptops!

The LG gram: Perfect For Any Budding Photographer

When I’m working, I rely on my small laptop to get writing and emails done while on the road – but when it comes to editing videos or photos, I always prefer to use my desktop computer. Buying a laptop is often a choice between a big screen or portability – but the LG gram delivers the best of both worlds. With a stunning 17″ screen, a slim design, and a weight at 2.95 pounds, this laptop is ultra-lightweight, yet packs serious power and has a 19.5 hour battery life. In short, this is the ideal machine for editing photos and videos on the go; and with a retail value of $1,699.99, the winners of this contest are going to be snagging one amazing prize!

How to Enter:

To enter the #ScaleUpIdea contest, you’ll need to snap your own forced perspective trick photo inspired by one of three key features of the 17” LG gram, and upload it to Instagram using the hashtag that corresponds to your chosen theme. The three key features are:

  • Big screen size: #ScaleUpScreen
  • Lightweight: #ScaleUpLightweight
  • Long-lasting battery: #ScaleUpBattery

The photo caption must utilize ONE of these hashtags along with #LGgram. So for example, the light weight of the LG gram might inspire you to take a photo where you hold your hand in front of a heavy object so that you appear to be holding it effortlessly. You would then post your photo on Instagram with a caption using the hashtags #ScaleUpLightweight and #LGgram. You can use any objects to create your photo, not a difficult level of entry. Trick photos that you take with your friends for fun or the trick photos while you travel. Your photo must be uploaded to your own personal, publicly available Instagram account. Here’s an example photo that I took, using the “Lightweight” theme:
