I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that Contest Corner will be moving to a new web host this weekend. This won’t mean anything different for the look or usability of the site – this is purely a backend upgrade in order to speed up loading time and make our site faster. We’ve been having issues with our current host that have resulted in downtime, site outages, and slowed down the site a great deal. So we are beginning the transfer to a new host today and will be working on it diligently throughout the weekend. During the transfer process, there may be times where the site does offline briefly or has other technical hiccups. Don’t panic! This will only be temporary while we flip the switch. We have to move every single file and database over, so we aware that there could be some kinks to work out over the weekend. However, I think that one weekend of minor issues will be more than worth it, as the site will be so much more reliable and easier to get to once the move is complete!
