I recently became a member of Purex Insiders, a fun blog panel where members receive information on new products, coupons, and freebies to sample and review. The first sample which I received was a bottle of Purex Crystals, along with a free product coupon. So what is Purex Crystals, exactly? It’s a new kind of laundry softener that comes in the form of little crystals, rather than a traditional liquid softener.
Since I’m still in England, I haven’t been home to do laundry (Aw, darn ;)), so Jai volunteered to try it out. Here’s what he had to say:
“The Purex crystals have a very floral scent. I thought it was quite pleasing and didn’t have a ‘chemical’ smell to it. The clothes kept the scent even out of the dryer and I rather liked it. It smelled good, and was still noticeable even when you used dryer sheets.”
So there you have it! I’m looking forward to picking up another bottle with my free coupon once I get back.

The lavender is my absolute favorite!
I LOVE these! I just do not have time to add laundry sheets or wait for the rinse cycle to put in laundry softner – These smell delicious and really do leave your laundry feeling soft and smelling good!
do you do this added to your like your soap or is it independent from that?

I am so in love with Purex~they are the BEST! I never used softener until I met Purex Crystals. Good stuff…simply the best! 🙂
We tried the fresh spring water and really liked it. The scent was super nice and lasted a while.
I heard this stuff was great wish my kids didn’t have eczema I’d love to try it.
Hi everyone! Trisha, this gets added to your wash at the beginning of the cycle, along with the detergent.
I’d love to try them but not sure if they are ok with my cloth diapers. They sound great though!
the citrus is my favorite, but I have to be careful when I use it that the baby’s clothes aren’t mixed in.
These crystals smell so GOOD
@Darcy, yeah, probably shouldn’t use them on cloth diapers, but sounds like something I’d like to try on my clothes.
