One service I’ve mentioned before is CampusBookRentals, who offer textbooks-for-rent at a lower cost than purchasing them new. They average between 40-90% off standard retail prices, offer free shipping on both receiving and sending your textbook back, and even allow you to highlight portions in the book. CampusBookRentals also donate to Operation Smile with every textbook rented!
And now, CampusBookRentals have introduced a new initiative, RentBack. This program allows students to rent out textbooks which they own and are finished with to other students; CampusBookRentals says that this should earn students between 2 to 4 times as much than what they would make through a “Buyback” program.
