Review & Giveaway: Nature’s Source Natural Cleaners
**********This Giveaway Has Now Closed.************

As a member of BzzAgent, I have the chance to take part in all kinds of fun promotions. What is “BzzAgent”, you ask? A word-of-mouth campaign company, BzzAgent provides members with new products to try out and share with others. You then have a chance to give your thoughts to companies and make your voice heard. And today I have the opportunity to review a new line of cleaning products and give them away to you!

About Nature’s Source

A new line of eco-friendly cleaning products from SC Johnson, Nature’s Source Natural Cleaners have reinvented old favorites like Scrubbing Bubbles and Windex with a decidedly “green” approach. Made with 99% natural ingredients, these products are packaged in recyclable bottles and do not contain bleach, ammonia, or phosphorous. Relying on ingredients like Corn-based ethanol and Xantham gum, SC Johnson says these envoirnmentally-minded cleaners will still cut through grease and grime effectively. But can they pass my microwave test?

My Verdict

The postman had perfect timing when he delivered my “BzzKit”. I already had cleaning on the agenda today, so I had the opportunity to test out these cleaners and see how they did. There are four different cleaners in this line: Nature’s Source Windex, Nature’s Source Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner, Nature’s Source Scrubbing Bubbles All-Purpose Cleaner, and Nature’s Source Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaner.

First up, I decided to give the natural Windex a try. I sprayed some on the window in my front door, because it was looking mucky.

This all-natural Windex worked just as well as the regular kind – my window is crystal clear. (And anyone who reads my coupon blog knows that I have an awful lot of regular Windex!)
The only difference I noticed was the smell – all of these cleaners have a very light, almost citrus scent, and don’t make you gag the way most cleaners do. My fiance walked by as I was cleaning and said, “Hey, it smells really good in here!”

Next, I picked up the bottle of bathroom cleaner and headed over to my bathtub. I sprayed it all over the tub and then wiped it down with a wet rag. See how shiny my bathtub is? What I loved was that I didn’t have to scrub and scrub to get the soap scum out; it wiped off quite easily.

(Side note: we’re in the middle of remodeling the bathroom, which is why the walls are unfinished! )

After I finished wiping off the bathtub, I turned my attentions to the toilet cleaner. I was most excited about trying this one out, because I’ve been looking for a better way to clean my toilet. I usually just use bleach, because the toilet cleaners I’ve bought before have been kind of wimpy.

Suffice to say, I wouldn’t be posting a picture of my toilet on the internet if it hadn’t worked to my satisfaction. This seemed to work a bit better for me than bleach does, and it’s a lot easier to use than pouring gallons of Clorox down there.

And now that the bathroom is clean, there is one final test: the microwave. I wanted to see if the All-Purpose cleaner could hack it on grease, and I figured the microwave would be the best way to determine that.

You know what? It worked just fine – I had no trouble wiping down the greasy remnants of a microwave explosion. All of the Nature’s Source products worked well for me – my home is sparkly clean, and I didn’t have to scrub endlessly or be knocked out by overwhelming fumes, so I’m happy with my experience.
