Don’t you love it when the timing works out perfectly on something? For example, I was doing some tidying up around the house last week when UPS arrived with a shipment of complimentary Scotch-Brite Botanical Disinfecting Wipes. Timing doesn’t get any better than that!
The disposable wipes are the newest addition to Scotch-Brite’s cleaning products arsenal. I just love having a tub of cleaning wipes on hand, so I was looking forward to trying this new variety. As you can tell by the name, these wipes tout their ability to disinfect surfaces while remaining OK to use around food, pets, or kids. They can be used to clean non-porous surfaces, and the general idea is that you wet the surface with the wipe and then allow to air-dry. How wet you get the surface and how long you leave it to dry will determine whether it has been just sanitized and deodorized or disinfected, according to the directions. I usually don’t bother reading the directions on wipes since it seems self-explanatory to me, but I thought I should be thorough and read them this time so that I could give you guys as much information as possible. The way the directions are worded actually confuses me a little bit – perhaps because I’m only on my second cup of coffee! 😉
The container I received contains 25 Lemongrass-scented wipes. The first thing I noticed about these is that they had a strong scent – I definitely felt like I was using a powerful cleaning product, which I like. These are so handy for a variety of surfaces – I think my favorite use for these is cleaning the trash can. Although I predominantly use rags or sponges to clean, I don’t use them on the garbage can because it doesn’t feel sanitary, unless it’s a rag I plan to throw out immediately afterwards. Maybe if I had a new washing machine I would feel more confident doing so, but for now I love using these wipes to get my trash cans sparkling clean!

I noticed that recently about disinfecting wipes too. I didn’t realize it took a little bit to kill the germs. I thought it was instant. Good to know! I like that these are safe around food. 🙂
I love that these are safer than the others out there. I am not going to poison myself as if it were another brand! I might try these out at my house! 🙂
I’ll have to look for these, I had no clue they made cleaning products! I like using safe cleaning products since I have cats and children!
