Scream 4 DVD Review

Scream 4

I have a confession to make: I only made it about 10 minutes into this movie before I had to turn it off because it creeped me out too much. I gave it a good effort – I’d heard that this movie was interesting and sarcastic – but I knew it would disturb me too much if I watched any more of it. That ought to be a resounding endorsement if you love scary films! 😉 Horror buffs will likely be nonplussed by the opener and able to watch the film in its entirety. Anxious personalities such as myself should probably skip this title and rent My Little Pony or something else nonthreatening!

Here’s a summary of the film, which was written by someone who saw more than a few minutes of it:

“Directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven, SCREAM 4 is the newest installment in the acclaimed franchise that ushered in a new wave of horror in the 1990s. In SCREAM 4, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghost Face, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends (Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin) and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.”

Scream 4 will be available on DVD and as a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack on October 4th, 2011 – just in time for Halloween! You can click here to pre-order it on Amazon.com. More information about the film is available on Scream-4.com. I received a complimentary DVD for the purposes of this review.
