In that case, you will want to check out Sports Illustrated Kids’ SportsParent of The Year contest! For the first time, SI will be recognizing the contributions of one dedicated SportsParent, dedicated to his or her community and teaching values to their children through a love of sport. The winner of this contest will receive a $1,000 gift card to put towards their child’s sports needs and may be included in an upcoming Sports Illustrated Kids issue!

Entries will be judged based on 50% contributions to the community and 50% contributions on the field (Such as coaching). The deadline for entries is September 24th, 2012.
