  1. Thank you for supporting teachers as we begin our school years!

I teach preK-8th grade music in rural Illinois. The village has one of IL’s lowest property tax bases (and that’s how our state handles school funding). We receive Title 1 funding, but rely on grants and crowd funding for any needs beyond the bare minimum… and let’s face it, that’s where the joy in learning comes in!

I teach not only about music, but through it. I teach with a focus on empathy, equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a combination of holding students accountable while giving them grace as they are learning how to be human. My goal is to grow GREAT musicians who are EVEN BETTER people.

I appreciate your support as you help me lift up my 200 music makers!

  2. Thanks so much am a para librarian for an inner city Title 1 school with a zero budget to run my library. Am always looking for ways to have my almost 500 students have a wonderful library class.
