Welcome to Top Ten With…, a fun Q&A session where you’ll get to learn all about the music scene’s hottest artists! Today we’re highlighting voiceover artist, actor and musician Debi Derryberry. She is the voice of Jimmy Neutron and has nearly 400 IMDB credits for her work, doing everything from providing voices for Toy Story to appearing on-camera in shows like iCarly. If that weren’t enough to keep her busy, Debi is also a singer/songwriter and preparing to release her fourth children’s album, Gotta Go Green, on March 6. Get to know Debi through our exclusive interview!

I’m inspired by: Walking my dogs and enjoying the day
or even silence, sitting alone in my living room. Ideas come to me when I am paying attention to something else!

I realized I wanted to play music when: I heard my mother sing and play guitar and also when I heard my father practice piano at night after I went to bed. Also, when I learned harmonies in sing-a-longs at school and camp!

Four songs you might find on my personal playlist: “Close Your Eyes” (James Taylor), “If I Fell In Love With You” (Beatles), “Prisoner In Disguise” (Linda Ronstadt), “Jolene” (Dolly Parton)

One word I would use to describe myself: Helpful

The best part of being a musician is: Creating more music!

Right now, I’m most excited about: The release of my new album, Gotta Go Green, which focuses on saving the earth, recycling, and other eco- conscious songs.

Something most people don’t know about me is: I was the body-stunt-double for the boy in the first Free Willy movie. They needed a scuba diver who was the same size as a 12-year-old boy.

One of my happiest moments was: Meeting James Taylor after his concert and getting a photo with him
that and holding my son for the very first time.

My music is: Full of harmonies and fun.

In ten years, I see myself: Still enjoying life, exercising, cooking, helping, and singing, creating and producing music.
