I’ve always been a fan of licorice, so I was happy to open my mailbox recently to find some complimentary samples of a brand-new licorice: Welch’s Filled Licorice! This new confection is a collaboration between Frankford Candy and Welch’s to create a special licorice candy filled with Welch’s jelly. This candy is available in both strawberry and concord grape, and we were able to sample each variety. Jai told me that he liked these more than regular (Non-jelly-filled) licorice, and I can see why; they are very tasty! The strawberry-filled licorice is my favorite, with its soft and sweet center. Meanwhile, the grape version took me back to my childhood with its fun flavor. Yum yum!!
