Set of Four Conserve Cleaners – 3 Winners – Ends 06/24

Multi Surface Cleaner

Last month, I introduced you to Conserve Cleaners. They have just debuted a new retail version of their products – and to celebrate, they would like to give three lucky Contest Corner readers a full set of cleaners, including Multi-Surface Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, Window & Glass Cleaner, and Fabric Freshener – so read on!

My Take:

In May, I tried out the full line of Conserve Cleaners – click here to read the review and see how it stacked up to my cleaning challenge. Conserve Cleaners are unique, because they utilize a tablet that is dropped into a bottle and mixed with water to form the cleaning solution à la an Alka-Seltzer tab. They have since updated their packaging to further reduce waste; now the tablets are sold individually, with the idea that consumers can simply reuse a plastic spray bottle they already have on hand, instead of creating a new one. Each package contains one tablet and a label that you can stick on your old bottle. This is the same formula as before, with new packaging – the bottle with four tablets which I reviewed is still available for bulk needs.

Conserve mailed me a set of the new tablets with the improved packaging to check out, and I think it’s a great idea – I’m all about re-using what I have, and there’s no need to create a whole new plastic bottle for these. Just wait until your old cleaner runs out, rinse out the bottle, and refill with a Conserve Cleaner tablet! This version of the cleaner is brand new and hasn’t hit store shelves yet, so you’re getting a special sneak peek – I’m curious to see how much they will retail for, as this is touted as an inexpensive alternative to other cleaners.

  1. They are working with Georgia Institutue of Technology to find ways to measure the emissions produced at each stage of a product’s life cycle, from the beginning of production and transportation to consumer use and eventual recycling. vickers_73460 AT yahoo DOT com

  2. I learned from their site that all their products have been screened for safety. Wow, that’s amazing!

  3. They achieved a recycling rate of 700% and are set to exceed their goal of 900% this yr instead of the goal date of 2012.

  4. WOW! I have never heard of this company before. This is a wonderful idea. I learned they have all their products screened for safety!!! Now that impresses me right there!

  5. I learned that their recycling rate goal for 2012 is 900%, but they’ll beat that this year!

  6. I learned that with just one tablet and water will give you 32 oz. of cleaner allowing you “to be clean and green at the same time”.

  7. What does planet-friendly mean?
It means we do not use petro-chemicals, bleach or ammonia in Conserve cleaners. It means that we created cleaners that clean and are better for the environment. It means not having to sacrifice health for cleanliness.

Everything we reuse instead of throwing it away positively affects our environment. Conserve is a perfect way to reuse a bottle you already have. We make it easy for you to go green!

  8. I learned that Conserve Cleaners core values are teamwork, positive, focused, and integrity.

  9. Yum, the glass cleaner is vanilla scented! Their website could really use a FAQ though, I am wondering about reusing a bottle that previously had other cleaner in it, is it safe?

  10. I learned

We also measure our recycling performance by comparing total pounds recycled to total pounds land-filled in the same year. Since we implemented our program, we achieved a recycling rate of 700%, which blew away our target of 600%. Our goal for 2012 is 900%, and we’ll beat that in 2010 — 2 years ahead of schedule.

  11. I learned they don’t use any petro-chemicals, bleach or ammonia!

  12. Their corporate culture is based on a set of core values that we created as a company and are aligned on in every aspect of how we interact with each other and with our customers.

  13. I learned that No other American company has shown their concern for public safety with RoHS compliance the way that Baumgartens has.

  14. I learned that the company’s core values are:

    * Teamwork – Available for support in fulfilling the needs of the team.
    * Positive – Inspired and light-hearted; a joy in working with people.
    * Focused – An unstoppable drive to produce results now
    * Integrity – Honoring your word; reliable, straightforward, honest and responsible communication
