Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Trident Layers Review

Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Trident Layers Review

When I was growing up, one of the most magical parts of Christmas for me was opening my stocking. My family actually did two stockings – one early in the morning right after Santa had arrived, and one after dinner in the evening as we finished up the day. It was so much fun to pull out little toys, candy, and gum from my sock. I was always a big fan of gum, so “Santa” made sure to pack lots of fun-flavored bubblegums in my stocking. And that is why I chose to feature Trident Layers in my holiday gift guide – to keep the tradition going!

Chew on this: Trident Layers have a multi-faceted taste thanks to the layered flavor combination. Packing a fruity punch, Trident Layers is available in Strawberry Citrus and Green Apple. I received some of the Strawberry Citrus to try out, and the first thing I noticed was its unusual appearance, thanks to the colored stripe in the middle. I loved novelty gum when I was a kid, so this wins points for its stocking-stuffing prowess in my book. The gum is juicy and tangy, and has a really nice taste – and since it’s not a really crazy flavor, this would work in stockings for each member of the family. (Santa always brought my mom and dad stockings too!)

Trident Layers can be found in most stores for $1.49. You can also stretch your holiday budget by clicking here to download a .75 cent off coupon!

  1. Stockings were always so exciting for us too. I actually just got some of the Trident Layers. I can’t wait to try it out. It might be making an appearance in stockings around here too!

  2. LOVE the stockings too! My mom always crammed them full of wonderful little goodies. It was my favorite part of Christmas!

  3. I have been wanting to try these!

My husband laughs at the commercial.. he says “I am the guy in the back who wants to get paid in gum but doesn’t”

And he then says it is because he is asian.

    He is very odd.

(Asian comment from my husband not meant to insult anyone)

  4. Stocking gifts are the best! And I actually do always put sugarless gum in them for the kids.
