I am very pleased to announce that the RSS/email newsletter formatting issues that we have been experiencing have been fixed! It was a very complicated issue to resolve – we’ve been working on this problem for a long time, and it was difficult to troubleshoot. Jai eventually made alterations to one of the PHP files, which fixed the issue. Now when you receive my email newsletters or view Contest Corner through a reader, you will see all the paragraphs formatting correctly, along with images and full, non-abbreviated posts! Part of the challenge in resolving the issue was a lack of information available on this specific topic, so I’m going to post a tutorial later on with our fix to help anyone else who is experiencing this issue.
Also, I wanted to announce the results of our reader poll! Last month, I asked Contest Corner readers what they thought of our new format for publishing contest listings. 75% of respondents said “Yes – I love seeing all the contest listings on the home page”; 25% said “I don’t care either way”. After close to two months of using the new system, I think it’s been working out really well! As always, if you have any feedback on this or other content – good or bad! – we want to hear it!
